This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. Ive been very happy with it. The socialization is going great, and there is no way that my cat can jump over this.
